Kessa Halo
Kessa was born and raised in Rhode Island. She received a degree in Fine Arts from CCRI and ever since has been passi onate about fashion and style but not your latest trends. She has always stood out from the crowd, wearing vintage clothing accessorized with different belts, jewelry and handbags.
She started searching for something different to use as a handbag. She was tired of having the same bag everyone else had. She realized ready-made handbags didn’t appeal to her fashion sense, so she started to make her own bags.
Immediately people noticed her bags while she was out, complementing them and asking where she had gotten them. Once she told people that she made her own bags they asked if she could make one for them or as a gift. She started making her bags by request only. Then their friends asked where they got the bag and the requests kept coming.
It was at this point she decided to form Kessa Creations. She personally makes every bag to order and this is why your one-of-a-kind bag may take a little longer to create. She does have many one-of-a-kind bags ready for purchase if you just can't wait. She handpicks all the fabric and all the materials for the accessories. She makes all of the accessories as well. The crystals on the bags are Swarovsky and all studs are placed by hand.
A Kessa Kreation party is a place where you can choose a custom bag already made or sort through some of the many fabrics and accessories she will bring to you and design your own. Think of it as a build a bag party. Her bags are all reasonably priced and she can make matching sets as well. Book a party today, the hostess will recieve a bag of her choice or 75% off a custom bag for total sales of over $200.
Kessa and her family are active members of the H.O.P.E. Foundation and travel to the Philippines every January for the medical missions. The H.O.P.E. Foundation International is a nonprofit humanitarian organization, founded by Dr. Hugo “Johnny” Halo, dedicated to providing basic medical and dental assistance to the indigenous Aetas in the Mt. Pinatubo locale and the isolated poor of the Philippines.
During the 7-10 day medical missions, undertaken every January, the group treats as many as 5,000 patients with different ailments. Volunteers work in makeshift clinics and schools. Special missions have included empowering the Aetas in claiming responsibility for resources in the Mt. Pinatubo area, cleft-lip and palate surgeries, meningocoele surgeries, construction of a medical clinic for the Aetas and various financial aides for treatment and surgeries.
